Braces are a ‘fixed’ orthodontic appliance, used when your orthodontist wants to be very precise in guiding your teeth into place over a period of time.
You can eat and drink with braces, but you have to maintain excellent dental hygiene to make sure your teeth are clean and the braces don’t collect food particles.

Types of braces available at Smile Store – your options
Invisalign falls into the ‘removable device’ category, and has become very well-known in recent years.
It’s more than a single device – the Invisalign system actually consists of a series of custom-made transparent plastic aligners, which slip over your teeth like a mouth guard.
They are removable, although you’re supposed to wear them for a fixed period of time each day but can pop them out for eating or brushing your teeth.
